Description
90' +4
Gervinho misses the final shot of the game, sending his effort wide of the near post, and the referee blows for full time.
90' +3
Just two more minutes of added time remaining now!
90' +2
Roma are unable to make the most of a couple of corners as the second one ends with Gervinho scooping the ball into the keeper's hands, rather than picking out a team-mate with a cross.
Balotelli must do better! The Italian is fed in space in the area and he cuts inside onto his left, committing De Rossi in the process. He has the whole goal to aim at but he pulls his shot wide of the near post.
90' +1
Into the first minute of added time and Bonera makes a brilliant block to stop Bradley's effort from worrying Gabriel.
90'
Important tackle from Muntari, tracking back and stealing the ball from Strootman inside the box just as the midfielder was looking to shoot. He then launches his team on a counterattack but Kaka is unable to find his way past Benatia.
89'
C. Zaccardo enters the game and replaces U. Emanuelson.
Emanuelson is unable to continue and so Zaccardo enters the fray. Hopefully nothing too serious for the Dutchman.
87'
That was dangerous! Bradley lifted a great pass over the top and Florenzi, who was being tracked by Emanuelson, tried to get on the end of it. The pair came into contact with the onrushing Gabriel, but the ball continued goalwards. It looks as though the keeper may have caused an injury to his defender in the process as he is now receiving treatment.
85'
Now Milan do have a free kick in a dangerous area, though, as Benatia scythed through the back of Matri 20 yards from goal.
STRONG HANDS! Balotelli absolutely smashed that effort straight down the middle and De Sanctis managed to adjust quick enough to force the ball away from the danger area.
84'
K. Strootman gets yellow.
OUTCRY IN THE SAN SIRO! The hosts feel they should have a penalty after De Sciglio's driven cross is intercepted by Burdisso. They feel it came off his arm, but the referee is not in agreement and allows play to continue.
83'
M. Balotelli gets yellow.
Matri finally gets involved and looks to put a pass over the top for Balotelli, but he puts far too much power on it and he has no chance of getting on the end of it.

Description
82'
Milan win themselves a corner but Kaka's delivery is punched away by De Sanctis and De Jong fails to control it well enough to make his second touch an effort on goal.
81'
A. Florenzi enters the game and replaces A. Ljajić.
79'
Should the game stay this way it would be Roma's fifth draw in their last six outings; a run which has seen them drop behind Juventus in the race for the title.
77'
S. Muntari has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by M. Balotelli.
GOOOOOOAAAALL!! Muntari ties the game! Kaka picks out Balotelli inside the box with a great pass and although the striker's touch isn't great, he manages to roll the ball into the path of Muntari. The Ghanaian takes it past Dodo before firing in low at the near post.
76'
Bradley exposes Bonera's lack of pace as he moves inside from the right. The centre-back commits a foul in his attempts to win the ball and the visitors win a free kick. Totti rifles it at goal from 30 yards but it is always rising and fails to find the target.
75'
That is a poor attempt to win a penalty from Balotelli. He attempts to hold up the ball inside the area but upon feeling the slightest of touch from Burdisso he goes to ground. He realises nothing will be given and tries to continue from the floor, but his chance is gone.
74'
Kaka gets himself put in the referee's book for following a tug on Dodo up with a sarcastic clap at the official's decision to award the visitors a free kick. Montolivo protests, and earns himself a booking too.
73'
Kaká gets yellow.
R. Montolivo gets yellow.
72'
That is a poor pass from Muntari. The Ghanaian had plenty of time and space to get his head up but he attempted to clip a first-time pass over Benatia for Balotelli. He judged it poorly and ended up giving possession straight to the centre-back.
70'
That is great football from Roma! They put a string of passes together from 30 yards before moving possession out to Maicon on the right. The Brazilian spots Bradley's movement from deep and puts a diagonal pass onto his head. The midfielder, however, fails to hit the target with his effort and puts it wide of the near post.
68'
Kaka goes down as he controls the ball with his chest inside the area. There was a challenge from behind by Dodo there but the referee clearly did not feel it was worthy of a penalty.
66'
A. Matri enters the game and replaces A. Poli.
Balotelli isn't happy! The striker clearly controls a long ball up to him with his arm, and he punches the ball into the ground after the referee's whistle. I'm sure he is more frustrated with himself there.
64'
F. Totti enters the game and replaces M. Destro.
Destro gets to a cross at the near post but he is watched closely by Zapata and fails to make a solid connection with the ball. It proves to be his last act of the game as he is replaced by Totti.
62'
Dodo whips a cross in from the left but he puts it too high for Strootman's head at the back post and Emanuelson is able to mop up from the loose ball.
61'
Kaka drifts out wide and looks to penetrate the area with a give-and-go played with Muntari. The return pass does find him in the area, but Montolivo gets in the way of the Brazilian's shot.
59'
EMANUELSON IS THERE AGAIN! Even better last-ditch defending from the Dutchman, again thwarting a Gervinho-led counterattack. His precise challenge stopped the Ivorian from connecting with Ljajic's square pass towards the penalty spot.
57'
Balotelli and Benatia both tumble to the ground inside the box, with the Roma man going through the back of the striker. The home fans cry out for a penalty, but the referee sees it differently and gifts the Giallorossi a free kick.
55'
Great tracking back from Emanuelson! Roma broke at speed with Gervinho leading the counter down the left. He spots Destro in space on the right and looks to switch the play to him, but the Milan left-back races in to mak a crucial interception.
54'
Milan are enjoying a good spell of possession in the Roma half and they are forcing their opponents further and further back. They look to work the ball from side to side but fail to find an opening and Montolivo eventually fires over from distance.
52'
Penalty goal scored by K. Strootman for Roma!
GOOOOOOOAAAL! Strootman slots it home from the spot with the utmost composure, sweeping his shot into the corner and sending the keeper the wrong way.
50'
Gabriel Vasconcelos gets yellow.
PENALTY! Free kick is awarded. Gervinho is released by Strootman and Gabriel races off his line to try and beat the Ivorian to it. He slides in and catches the winger, who goes down and wins a penalty!
49'
Balotelli wins the ball inside the Roma half and instantly feeds Emanuelson. The Dutchman lifts a first-time pass over the defence for Kaka but he is unable to find a way past Burdisso in order to get on the end of it.
47'
That is a lovely run from Dodo, gliding forwards and skating between playerrs before threading a through-ball to Gervinho. The Ivorian's diagonal run puts him in behind, but he is at too acute of an angle to create anything and he ends up losing possession.
46'
Gabriel Vasconcelos enters the game and replaces C. Abbiati.
The second half is underway, and Gabriel has replaced Abbiati in the Milan goal.
45' +2
Bradley goes for an ambitious attempt from distance but Strootman runs into the path of the ball and stops it from worrying Abbiati. Milan relieve the pressure and the referee blows for half time.
45' +1
We are into the first of two additional minutes.
45'
Strootman has been passing well from midfield tonight, and he tries his luck with a ball up to Destro from inside the centre-circle. He fails to find his team-mate, though, as Bonera gets to it first.
44'
N. Burdisso enters the game and replaces Leandro Castán.
Play resumes and Leandro Castan comes back on, but he's down again within moments. The Milan fans voice their opinion that he is wasting time, but it looks like Burdisso will replace him.
42'
There is a break in play here as Leandro Castan receives treatment following a collision with Kaka. The Milan man thought there was nothing wrong with his challenge and he should have been through on goal, but the referee saw it another way.
40'
Strootman and Destro almost combine for a second Roma goal but the striker is squeezed out of possession as he looks to take it round the keeper.
39'
Dodo has practically been playing as a winger, and he is put through in the area following a lovely pass from Gervinho. The Brazilian lashes a shot at goal but he is unable to keep it down and Abbiati watches it sail over the bar.
38'
Milan soak up some Roma pressure there and upon winning the ball they put a few passes together at the back before sending it long. The visitors win it straight back and look to counter with pace but they fail to make anything of it.
36'
Another brilliant challenge from Zapata there, sliding in on Dodo down by the byeline and sending the ball out for a corner. The Colombian is having a fantastic game so far tonight.
35'
Great anticipation from De Sanctis there! The keeper read Emanuelson's cross well and managed to get himself out to the ball before Balotelli could get his head on the end of it.
33'
GREAT CHALLENGE! A slip from De Sciglio enables Gervinho to race clean through down the left. The Ivorian enters the area and a slightly heavy touch gifts a window of time which Zapata exploits to the fullest, sliding in from behind and taking the ball from his opponent's feet.
31'
OFF THE LINE!! Bradley felt he had put the Giallorossi back infront as he got on the end of a high ball at the back post and steered it goalwards from an acute angle. It span on the line and bounced back before Bonera hooked it to safety.
30'
C. Zapata has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by S. Muntari.
GOOOOOAAALL!! Zapata levels the game! A corner from the far side was flicked on at the near post by Muntari and the Colombian timed his run perfectly to connect with it at the back post. He stooped low and headed the ball down into the ground and up into the roof of the net.
28'
The Italian striker then proves his effectiveness at the other end, holding off a number of players before slipping a great pass out to the left. However, Muntari had stopped his run and the ball ended up leading nowhere.
26'
Balotelli is back defending from a corner and he manages to clear the ball away at the near post. He puts it out behind and the pressure is finally relieved as Zapata is the recipient of a high foot inside the box.
23'
Superb skills from Gervinho on the near side, dancing his way to the byeline and drilling a cutback into the middle of the six-yard box. There are a whole host of bodies in there but not one of the ones in a white shirt are able to get on the end of it.
20'
Kaka gets free outside on the left of the box and he manages to squeeze a shot away at the Roma goal. It looks like a decent effort but he pulls it wide of the far post.
13'
M. Destro has scored a goal for Roma! Assist by K. Strootman.
GOOOOOAAALL!! Destro opens the scoring with a right-footed effort from just in of goal following Strootman's ball. The visitors take the lead at San Siro!
11'
D. De Rossi gets yellow.
But De Rossi is the first man into the book following an awful tackle on Emanuelson on the left wing.
9'
Muntari wins a free kick after Maicon crashes into him inside his own half. Not the prettiest of tackles from the Brazilian.
7'
A fairly even start to this game, but the hosts will be eager to push on and really start to build some momentum in front of their own fans.
5'
Roma began the season in record breaking fashion but have slipped recently and no longer occupy pole position. Juventus now lead the pack after 16 games.
3'
Ljajic whips in a cross from out wide on the flank but he only manages to pick out the head of Zapata inside the box.
1'
We are underway in Milan.
Hello and welcome to tonight's LIVE text commentary on this meeting between Milan and Roma at the San Siro.
Roma will be hoping for a positive result tonight in order to keep pace with current leaders, Juventus. Milan, meanwhile, have nowhere near as glamourous aims, and are only seeking to return to the top half of the table.
Milan (4-3-2-1): Abbiati; De Sciglio, Bonera, Zapata, Emanuelson; Poli, De Jong, Muntari; Montolivo, Kaka; Balotelli.
Roma (4-3-3): De Sanctis; Maicon, Benatia, Leandro Castan, Dodo; Bradley, De Rossi, Strootman; Gervinho, Destro, Ljajic.
The teams are out on the pitch and kick off will be upon us imminently. A big match for both of these teams!
HALF TIME - Milan 1-1 Roma: The Giallorossi took an early lead through Mattia Destro but the Rossoneri fought back and earned an equaliser through Cristian Zapata's header. Everything is still to play for in the second half so join me for it in 15 minutes.
Strootman is unable to clear the ball and he concedes a corner following a free kick for Milan. The Rossoneri send the ball into the box but no one makes a positive run to try and get on the end of the cross.
Milan need a win tonight or they will remain in the bottom half of the table this week. They would surely have wanted a better start than this, then!
The teams are making their way back out onto the pitch so the game should be back underway shortly.
