79'
Kane goes close! Another decent attacking move for Tottenham looks as if it's going to result in a chance on goal for Kane, but the home side are a bit too slow on the ball and have to settle for a corner instead. Eriksen's cross is a good and finds Kane, who sends his first-time half-volley a yard or so wide of the near post.

Son receives a rousing round of applause from the home fans as he makes way for Lamela.

Almost a chance for Aurier! A clever pass from Eriksen penetrates the penalty area and picks out Kane, who then pokes the ball over to Aurier. The full-back tries to shoot, but Jorgensen denies him the chance to do so with a vital interception.
67'
What a tackle by Davies! Williams sprints into the Tottenham penalty area and looks set to take on Lloris from close range, but Davies is there to dispossess the midfielder with a wonderfully timed sliding interception. He had to get that right otherwise he would have been off!
65'
Son makes a clever run into the right-hand side of the Huddersfield box as he tries to latch onto a lofted pass. It initially looks as if he's going to be able to do so, but Lossl charges out to beat the South Korean to the ball at the vital moment.

Alli is bundled over from behind by Jorgensen, and once again Tottenham are awarded a free-kick in a good position. They can't make it count, however, as Eriksen's chipped pass into the box is poor and can only find the hands of Lossl.

GOAL! It's Son again! Kane charges down the right wing before sending an excellent cross into the Huddersfield box. It bounces over to the far post and straight to Son, who then beats Lossl with a wonderful glancing header.
That really was an excellent pick out from Kane, who looked to be running towards a dead end only to find Son with a fantastic, inch-perfect cross.
53'
Thumping strike by Ince! Jorgensen brings an end to a Tottenham attack and immediately bursts forward on a promising run. He then chips a clever pass up towards Ince, who storms towards the box and forces Lloris into making a decent diving save with a fierce strike.
52'
Son goes down inside the box, but nothing is given! The South Korean seems totally perplexed after finding himself with the ball at his feet in the middle of the penalty area. His surprise stops him from immediately shooting, and he's eventually dispossessed by Kongolo. He looked to be caught by the defender, but the referee isn't at all interested and waves play on.

42'
Tottenham are continuing to dominate possession inside the Huddersfield half of the pitch, but they can't quite seem to carve out too many clear-cut chances on goal. The visitors have almost every single body camped behind the ball as they desperately try to avoid going 2-0 down before the break.
40'

Pritchard is momentarily back on his feet, and it's instead Quaner who's replaced by Ince. It seems as if it's a tactical switch by Wagner, and it remains to be seen whether or not Pritchard will have to make way as well.
31'
Pritchard hasn't been moving particularly well since the start of the game, and he's now gone down to the ground for the second time. Ince has been warming up over on the touchline and it looks as if he may have to come on for the former Tottenham youngster.
29'
Van La Parra is left in space out wide, and he immediately makes it count as he bursts towards the penalty area. He skips round Aurier and shoots, but Lloris is equal to the effort and saves it at the near post.
27'
Son Heung-Min has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by D. Alli.
That was a really well-placed pass from Alli, but what were the Huddersfield defence doing? They were carved apart far too easily, with Son comfortably managing to skip past Hadergjonaj on his way into the box.
GOAL! Tottenham have taken the lead! The home side have dominated the game so far, and they now deservedly lead. Kane and Alli link up well before the latter sends a lovely pass through to Son, who easily rounds Lossl and blasts the ball into the back of the net.

24'
The home side are seeing a lot of the ball at the moment, but they're finding it difficult to do much with it. Huddersfield are sitting deep and doing well to soak up the pressure being put on them, and it's making life tough for the Tottenham front line.
22'
After a lengthy period on the back foot, Huddersfield are able to push forward on a rare foray into the Tottenham half of the pitch. Williams gets himself into a good position over on the left and swings a cross into the heart of the penalty area, where Mounie rises high but can't get the better of Vertonghen.
20'
D. Alli gets yellow.
Tottenham come back through Eriksen, who sends a good cross into the box but can't quite pick out a team-mate. Quaner then tries to kick-start a counter-attack out wide, but he's cynically fouled by Alli and the Tottenham midfielder receives the first yellow card of the game.
19'
Eriksen goes close! Kane is bundled over from behind by Jorgensen after dropping deep for the ball, resulting in a free-kick for Tottenham in a very dangerous position. Eriksen steps up and shoots, and his deflected effort brushes the outside of the far post after leaving Lossl rooted to the spot.
17'
Great save by Lossl! More good paly by Son sees him cut inside from the left wing and fire a low cross into the path of Kane. The striker meets it well and shoots from close range, but he's denied by a smart stop from the Huddersfield goalkeeper at the near post.
16'
Son cuts onto his right foot on the edge of the Huddersfield penalty area and shoots, but his effort is deflected behind for a corner. The set-piece is well executed and picks out Kane, who traps the ball, spins and tries to shoot but is closed down before he can do so.
14'

7'
And now Kane goes close! This time it's Alli who pokes a pass into the penalty area and towards the onrushing Kane, but it's slightly overhit by the attacking midfielder and he can't quite pick out his team-mate.

4'

We're off! Huddersfield get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Premier League game between Tottenham Hotspur and Huddersfield Town at Wembley.
Today’s clash couldn’t be much harder, though, as they’re set to take on a Tottenham side that are in fantastic form. Mauricio Pochettino’s men are unbeaten in their last 16 games across all competitions, with four of their previous six in the league ending in victories. Another win this afternoon would temporarily send them above Liverpool and into third place, putting pressure on the Reds ahead of their game against Newcastle United later today.
Huddersfield could prove to be tricky opponents, however. After suffering an eight-game winless run during which they lost five times in a row, the Terriers head to Wembley with two consecutive top-tier victories under their belts. They started the season with such a run and haven’t won three back-to-back since 1956 - the same year, incidentally, that they last managed to beat Tottenham.
As always, the in-form Harry Kane is the one to watch this afternoon. Another goal for the England striker will see him become only the third player to score 25 or more in three consecutive Premier League seasons, a record that he is almost certain to break even if he’s unable to score today. He’s scored six times in as many league games, with only Manchester United managing to keep him quiet during that impressive period.
There’s just under 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Huddersfield Town substitutes: Rob Green, Scott Malone, Tommy Smith, Chris Lowe, Philip Billing, Tom Ince, Laurent Depoitre.
Huddersfield Town XI (4-2-3-1): Jonas Lossl; Florent Hadergjonaj, Mathias Jorgensen, Christopher Schindler, Terence Kongolo; Jonathan Hogg, Danny Williams; Colin Quaner, Alex Pritchard, Rajiv van La Parra; Steve Mounie.
Tottenham Hotspur substitutes: Michel Vorm, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Sissoko, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela.
Tottenham Hotspur XI (4-2-3-1): Hugo Lloris; Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies; Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier; Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Son Heung-Min; Harry Kane.
Mauricio Pochettino has decided to make nine changes to the Tottenham side that beat Rochdale in the FA Cup during the week, with only Dier and Son retaining their places in a heavily altered line-up that sees the club’s big guns return to the fold.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield boss David Wagner has named an unchanged side to the one that featured in their last outing, with Mounie, who scored his side’s second goal last weekend, once again leading the line.
STAT: According to Opta, Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 33 Premier League games against newly promoted sides (W31 D2 L0), with their last defeat coming against Queens Park Rangers back in April 2012. Will they be able to continue that good run today?
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1-0 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
So far, so good for Tottenham, who have comfortably bossed possession and deservedly lead at the break. Huddersfield have sat deep and really struggled to break out of their own half of the pitch, resulting in Lloris being a mere spectator for most of the game. The Terriers are going to have to show more attacking intent in the second half if they're to have any hope of getting back into this contest.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
Huddersfield will have plenty of happy memories of the last time they travelled to Wembley. The West Yorkshire side secured their place in the Premier League largely thanks to a dramatic play-off win against Reading, but, with 10 games left to play, they now find themselves narrowly outside of the relegation zone. With things as tight as they are in the bottom half of the table, every single point really does count.
FULL-TIME: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 2-0 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
In the end, it was a relatively comfortable afternoon for Tottenham, who were easily able to get the better of a Huddersfield side that just couldn't quite get into the game. The Terriers certainly improved after the break but more often than not found themselves on the back foot, allowing their opponents to pick up three easy - and much-needed - points.
