England have drawn their last two matches 0-0 in their friendly contests on home soil against Germany and Brazil. The Netherlands will provide a stern test of their credentials ahead of the World Cup, with Gareth Southgate experimenting with his squad. The absence of Harry Kane due to injury will test the Three Lions' depth.
Ronald Koeman takes charge of his first match as Netherlands boss after Dick Advocaat left the position following the Oranje's failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. The former Southampton and Everton manager will be looking to make an impact from the off.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the friendly match between the Netherlands and England at the Amsterdam ArenA.

There's a new era of Dutch football following the retirements of Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben. Koeman will be looking at Promes and Depay to provide the part in the final third, with Dost leading the way through the middle. The defence looks solid with De Vrij, De Ligt and Van Dijk manning the centre-back positions. England will find life tough tonight to break down the Netherlands with Strootman and Wijnaldum sitting in front of the back line.
Southgate has made an interesting move at the back this evening. Walker gets the nod to start alongside Stones and Gomez in a back three rather than Mawson, Tarkowski or Maguire. Trippier plays at right wing-back, with Rose on the other flank. Pickford has an audition between the sticks as do Lingard and Rashford in the final third to prove England have depth behind Alli and Kane.
STAT! Netherlands have lost just one of their last 13 matches against England (W5 D7), with that defeat coming at Euro 1996 (1-4).
STAT! England have lost only one of their seven away games versus Netherlands, winning two and drawing four. That defeat came in a World Cup qualifier under Graham Taylor in October 1993 (0-2), with Ronald Koeman scoring the Dutch’s opening goal via a direct free-kick.
HALF-TIME: NETHERLANDS 0-0 ENGLAND
It's goalless at the break at the Amsterdam ArenA. England have been the better side, but have not mustered a clear-cut chance in front of goal. The home side have had a couple of opportunities, although they've been on the back foot for the majority of the contest.Gareth Southgate will be pleased with his side's performance, but will want to see a clinical edge in the second period. Ronald Koeman will be demanding an all-round improvement from the Oranje.
FULL-TIME: NETHERLANDS 0-1 ENGLAND
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
England secure their first win over Netherlands since Euro 1996 as Jesse Lingard's first international goal decided the contest at the Amsterdam ArenA. The Three Lions were by far the better side as the home team were poor throughout the match, failing to lay a glove on Gareth Southgate's men. Southgate will be pleased with the manner of his side's victory, although he will be looking for a clinical edge heading into the World Cup. Ronald Koeman will not be happy with the effort of his team in his first game as manager of the Oranje.
