Firmino gets the game underway for Brazil!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the friendly game between Brazil and Nigeria at the Singapore National Stadium!
Both of these sides have been struggling for form after they celebrated success in July. Brazil beat Peru 3-1 to win the Copa America, but are winless since having drawn two and lost one of their games, including a 1-1 draw in a friendly against Senegal on Thursday. Nigeria finished third in the African Cup of Nations and haven't won either of their games since. Their last outing resulted in a heavy defeat to Togo in the first leg of their qualifier for the African Nations Championship.
NIGERIA SUBS: Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Maduka Okoye, Paul Onuachu, Viv Solomon-Otabor, Tyronne Ebuehi, Peter Olayinka, Ramon Azeez, Shehu Abdullahi, Anderson Esiti, Emmanuel Dennis.
BRAZIL SUBS: Weverton, Eder Militao, Richarlison, Santos, Alex Sandro, Philippe Coutinho, Fabinho, Marcinho, Rodrigo Caio, Matheus Henrique, Lucas Paqueta, Gabriel Barbosa.
NIGERIA STARTING XI (4-2-3-1): Francis Uzoho; Chidozie Awaziem, Semi Ajayi, William Troost-Ekong, Jamilu Collins; Joe Aribo, Wilfred Ndidi; Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi; Victor Osimhen.
BRAZIL STARTING XI (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Dani Alves, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Renan Lodi; Arthur, Casemiro; Gabriel Jesus, Neymar, Everton; Roberto Firmino.
If Neymar scores today, he will become second-joint top scorer for Brazil with Ronaldo on 62 goals, leaving him only behind Pele on the all-time list.
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away.
Rohr will be happy with how his side have played and will be hoping they can continue to succeed with this tactic in the second half. They've looked dangerous every time they've gone on the counter-attack and Brazil haven't been able to cope with their pace at times. As for Brazil, Tite did lose Neymar early on to injury, but his side haven't lacked in creativity. They need to be more clinical in front of goal though if they want to get onto the scoresheet.
So, Brazil still haven't got a win since their Copa America success, and they will be hoping that they can change that as soon as they can. As for Nigeria, their focus now turns to the second leg of their African Nations Championship against Togo as they need a big win to turn around the tie after losing 4-1 last month.
