FULL-TIME: BAYERN MUNICH 2-0 AUGSBURG.
90' +1
L. Goretzka has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by S. Gnabry.
GORETZKA DOUBLES THE ADVANTAGE! It’s cruel on Augsburg who go two goals down immediately after their equaliser is chalked off, as a nifty exchange inside the penalty area between Goretzka and Gnabry opens up space for the former, whose deft touch beats Luthe at the far post!
Gnabry's lovely play in tight space works room for Goretzka to beat Luthe and put Bayern two up!
89'
The fourth official indicates five additional minutes for stoppages.
85'
Javi Martínez enters the game and replaces Thiago Alcântara.
L. Hernández enters the game and replaces Philippe Coutinho.
Thiago Alcântara gets yellow.
Thiago is shown a yellow card for reckless play which led to the collision.
Coutinho is taken off as Bayern look to hold the lead. Hernandez is the chosen replacement.
Thiago seems a bit shaken up and he’ll be replaced by Martinez with five minutes left.
80'
F. Uduokhai enters the game and replaces T. Jedvaj.
Play is stopped momentarily as Thiago and Finnbogason clatter into each other in midfield, with both players sent to the ground after what looks to be a coming together of heads. Both training staff are on the pitch as the players are given a breather.
Augsburg counter with an attacking change that sees Uduokhai on for Jedvaj.
76'
A. Finnbogason enters the game and replaces E. Löwen.
Finnbogason replaces Lowen as Augsburg continue to search for an equaliser.
74'
Gnabry shifts the ball onto his right foot and looks to put a strike into the far corner, but he gets his angles wrong as the Germany international sends the opportunity high and wide.
70'
L. Goretzka enters the game and replaces J. Zirkzee.
Goretzka comes on for Zirkzee in Bayern's first alteration of the game.
67'
R. Vargas enters the game and replaces P. Max.
The first change of the match is made by the visitors, who replace Max with Vargas in an attacking switch with just over 20 minutes left.
65'
ZIRKZEE DENIED! Bayern forwards queue up in the penalty area, but Coutinho’s shot is deflected into the path of Muller, who immediately centres it for Zirkzee. With space to fire, the striker takes a shot to the near post, but Luthe gets across his line to make the stop.

Description
63'
Kimmich’s corner almost falls for Zirkzee, but a diving header from Gouweleeuw clears the ball and ensures the connection is disrupted.
59'
Augsburg are let off the hook as Gnabry is unable to bring the ball under his possession following a sloppy turnover near the visitors’ 18-yard box, allowing Luthe to come off his line and pick it up.
57'
It’s time for a change of tact for Augsburg, who will now be forced to pile forward in search of an equaliser. With Bayern’s pace down the wings, look for the hosts to exploit the gaps in defence down the flanks; a situation that Davies thrives in.
55'
Kimmich takes a corner from the left looking to double the advantage, but Thiago’s attempted scissor-kick following the set-piece doesn’t come off - giving Luthe a goal-kick.
53'
T. Müller has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by J. Boateng.
BAYERN MUNICH HAVE THE BREAKTHROUGH! Boateng plays a lovely ball over the top of the defence to the edge of the six-yard box for Muller, who manages to turn the ball home with a first-time volley using the inside of his left boot! 1-0!
It's an assist that a central midfielder would be proud of as defender Boateng's delivery is hit with an incredibly dangerous combination of power and accuracy.
52'
Augsburg are sitting back and allowing Bayern to venture forward, sitting back in their shape and waiting for the perfect opportunity to nip in and win the ball back. While the plan has worked so far, Schmidt’s side are being pinned too far back, preventing any possibility of breaking on a counter. The lack of an out ball is glaringly apparent as the visitors struggle to get out of their half.
50'
Max charges down the flank and heads towards the byline before chipping a cross to the near post - too close to Neuer though.
48'
Neither coach saw a need to change things up at the half, as both teams remain unchanged to start the second 45, which is somewhat surprising given the lack of goal-mouth chances in the first period of play.
46'
Bayern Munich get the match restarted from the kick-off!
45'
HALF-TIME: BAYERN MUNICH 0-0 AUGSBURG.
39'
Kimmich swings a corner to the far post for Boateng, but his header fails to find a team-mate as it's cleared back out of the 18-yard box.
37'
Bayern are once again in possession, but with all 11 Augsburg players behind the ball, it's going to take some ingenuity to open up the space. They've failed the test so far, failing to trouble Luthe with a shot up to now.
35'
Gnabry plays a one-two with Coutinho around the penalty area, but the return is intercepted as once again Augsburg close down the space and win back the ball at a crucial time.
33'
Pavard gets down the right flank and feathers a cross towards the penalty spot for Muller, but two defenders immediately pick up their man and cut off the supply, winning possession before the pass could be completed.
29'
There’s been a distinct lack of quality in the first half-hour, as neither side have created anything of note. Both Neuer and Luthe have been left completely untroubled as their defences hold strong in front.
27'
A terrible waste of a great opportunity as the free-kick is passed low in an attempt to bypass the wall and get an attacker running towards goal, but the Bayern man on the end of the wall steps off and casually intercepts the careless distribution, winning the ball back and starting a counter-attack.
25'
Davies dives into a tackle looking to poke the ball away from Niederlechner, but the striker gets there first by a half-second. Augsburg are awarded a free-kick in a dangerous position.
23'
Davies gets an attack going down the left, passing it short to Gnabry and continuing his charging run down the left. The overlap goes unused as the winger feeds it inside to Kimmich; an unwise decision as two defenders swarm the midfielder and win back the ball just ahead of their own penalty area.
21'
Bayern are stepping up their efforts for an opener as Alaba comes forward from his position at centre-back to take up a spot near the Augsburg 18-yard box. He’ll look to use his range of passing to start attacks, though he’s leaving lots of room in-behind.
19'
Lowen slips it through the Bayern defence for Niederlechner, who gets on the end of it and looks to round Neuer. The goalkeeper comes off his line and manages to poke it away for a corner, but he’s given a free-kick as the linesman raises his flag for a delayed offside against the Augsburg striker.
17'
Max takes a second Augsburg corner but it’s similarly poor as he directs it to the far post, missing his team-mates in the process.
15'
Augsburg are extremely positive in the opening stages, looking to get forward at every opportunity. They are doing well in midfield, frustrating their opponents and winning the ball back, but Niederlechner is looking an isolated figure as they find a way to involve him around the 18-yard box.
12'
A cheap turnover in possession allows Augsburg a chance to attack, but Lowen’s shot following a Niederlechner lay-off is far too easy for Neuer.
10'
Max’s corner filters through the mass of bodies at the near post, but the touch to turn it towards Neuer is a weak one as it trickles through for the goalkeeper to pick up without worry.
7'
Coutinho collects Kimmich’s incisive pass and floats a cross into the middle of the penalty area for Zirkzee, but Gouweleeuw gets into the right area to head it away.
5'
Muller flashes a cross past the six-yard box, but Coutinho is a half-step behind the delivery as he’s unable to get in front of his man to turn the ball past Luthe.
3'
Augsburg are finding it hard to get a hold of the ball as Bayern press high in midfield looking to win the ball around the opposition penalty area.

Augsburg get the match underway from the kick-off!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the Bundesliga fixture between Bayern Munich and Augsburg.
A comfortable six points above the relegation play-off and an unlikely 10 points away from a European place, Augsburg must be content with a season of survival as they look to book their place in next year’s top flight, a decade after the Swabian side were first promoted to the Bundesliga. Without a win in four though, they’ll have to arrest their slide if they want to ensure a worry-free finale.
BAYERN MUNICH XI (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Alphonso Davies, David Alaba, Jerome Boateng, Benjamin Pavard; Thiago, Joshua Kimmich; Philippe Coutinho, Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry; Joshua Zirkzee.
With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, let's take a look at the team news, starting with the hosts!
AUGSBURG SUBS: Andre Hahn, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Marek Suchy, Alfred Finnbogason, Felix Uduokhai, Tomas Koubek, Sergio Cordova, Carlos Gruezo, Ruben Vargas.
AUGSBURG XI (4-2-3-1): Andreas Luthe; Philipp Max, Tin Jedvaj, Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, Raphael Framberger; Daniel Baier, Rani Khedira; Iago, Eduard Lowen, Marco Richter; Florian Niederlechner.
BAYERN MUNICH SUBS: Leon Goretzka, Michael Cuisance, Sven Ulreich, Javi Martinez, Leon Dajaku, Lucas Hernandez, Alvaro Odriozola, Corentin Tolisso.
Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich host Augsburg looking to extend the gap at the top of the table to four points after Borussia Dortmund’s win yesterday. Hansi Flick’s side have won their last three league matches consecutively, last experiencing defeat in early December. It’s been 'no Robert Lewandowski, no problem' for the Bavarians, racking up seven goals in two fixtures without the Poland international.
Despite having three-quarters of the possession in the first half, Bayern were extremely poor going forward as Coutinho and Thiago were unable to get onto the ball and find the gaps in the defence. Should that trend continue in the second, the hosts have a number of options from the bench, with Goretzka and Tolisso amply capable of picking apart a low block. Augsburg for their part will be happy with a point, and have experienced campaigners like Lichtsteiner and Hahn ready should they need a veteran presence.
Bayern are back in action next Saturday when they travel to face Union Berlin. Augsburg will look to get back to winning ways next Sunday when they host Wolfsburg.
That concludes our Bundesliga commentary of the fixture between Bayern Munich and Augsburg! We hope you enjoyed it!
