Gladbach are still trying to counter in the 94th minute! They cannot get the pass right, though, and back come Bayern.
90' +1
There will be a minimum of four additional minutes for Gladbach to hold out.
Sommer breathes a sigh of relief! Ginter nods the ball straight to Muller, whose low shot deflects off Elvedi to wrongfoot the goalkeeper. The ball spins wide, however.
89'
O. Wendt enters the game and replaces J. Hofmann.
T. Jantschke enters the game and replaces R. Bensebaïni.
Bensebaini was not expected to last the 90 minutes and has done well to make it this far up against Sane. Jantschke is on.
Two-goal Hofmann is replaced by Wendt, hoping his team-mates can protect this advantage.
88'
Gladbach stay patient and win the ball from Bayern on the edge of the box before carefully picking a route through their opponents. Wolf appears to free Herrmann up against Sule, but he opts to check back and keep the ball.
86'
This is good from Gladbach. They win a throw-in on the left, from which Wolf buys a free-kick. They are running precious seconds off the clock.
83'
Bayern have the ball. They do not appear to have a great many ideas, however.
82'
H. Wolf enters the game and replaces L. Stindl.
Stindl played a huge part in Gladbach's fightback but has been on the fringes of the match since and makes way for Wolf.
80'
Gladbach look very tired. They are still working to cut out passes in their own half but do not then have the energy to spring a counter. The ball keeps coming back.
77'
It is chaos at the back for Gladbach, although they cannot believe there is no foul given Embolo's way after he brilliantly beats Sule and then appears to be fouled. Bayern profit and Sane prods a pass into Muller in the six-yard box, yet he is crowded out.
Minute
Description
75'
Gladbach are taking so many risks, giving the ball away on the edge of their own box time and again. Somehow, Bayern are still unable to forge a genuine opportunity.
74'
P. Herrmann enters the game and replaces D. Zakaria.
Zakaria has put in a good shift attempting to slow Davies but now makes way for Herrmann.
73'
Cross after cross is going into the Gladbach box now. Sane's delivery finds Muller, but he can only loop a header into the hands of Sommer.
71'
Bayern are furious! Coman, straight into the thick of things, crosses again, but Lewandowski heads over the top. He believes the ball takes a touch off a Gladbach head. It does not; no corner.
70'
Big block! Gladbach cannot play out from the back - yet again - and Coman crosses from the left. Lewandowski challenges for the ball, which falls for Alaba to thunder in a low shot. That effort is diverted clear, however, and Lainer shuts down Coman when he attempts to centre again.
68'
K. Coman enters the game and replaces Douglas Costa.
Ginter is back on his feet and shares a handshake with Germany colleague Sane.
In need of a spark, Bayern move first. Costa is off for Coman on the left flank.
65'
Lewandowski has had few opportunities to look for goal besides his penalty and now blasts off target on the volley.
63'
N. Süle gets yellow.
Sule quickly follows Ginter with Bayern's first booking. He has endured a tough outing and wrestles the troublesome Embolo to the floor.
62'
M. Ginter gets yellow.
Ginter gets the game's first yellow card as he takes down Costa, who pushes the ball past his man on the Bayern left.
61'
Over from Kimmich! Lewandowski hangs up a cross from the left and finds Sane, who nudges the ball into Kimmich's path. An awkward effort causes Sommer no concern, however.
59'
Bayern are pushing Gladbach back for an extended spell, but they are still struggling to create opportunities. Sommer has made only a single save so far, despite conceding twice.
58'
Stindl has been involved in much of Gladbach's best work and lets fly with a speculative effort, but the shot clears the crossbar.
57'
Sane works space on the right but drags an awful left-footed shot a long way wide of the near post.
53'
The hosts are full of confidence, getting men forward in attack every time they win the ball. A fourth goal would give even Flick's comeback kings a mountain to climb.
51'
Gladbach have had just 35.8 per cent of the possession, but they deservedly lead and must now decide whether to continue to attack Bayern or to sit in.
49'
F. Neuhaus has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach! Assist by J. Hofmann.
GOOAAALLLL!!! NEUHAUS! BEAUTY! Gladbach have turned this game around! It's 3-2! Remarkable. Once again, it comes from a loose pass out of defence. Gladbach attack at speed down the left and the ball ends up at the feet of Neuhaus 20 yards from goal to fire into the top-right corner. Brilliant!
After twice scoring himself, Hofmann collects an assist, playing a square pass to Neuhaus, who picks out the top corner.
47'
Bayern were rocked by the Gladbach goals before half-time and still appear a little shaky following the restart. Gladbach are in the ascendancy.
Zakaria blazes over, but Gladbach are ending the first half firmly on top!
45' +1
There will be a minimum of three minutes of added time.
45'
J. Hofmann has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach! Assist by L. Stindl.
Another supreme Stindl pass finds Hofmann onside. The Bayern defenders try to step up, but the quality of the ball allows Hofmann to stay the right side of the last man.
GOOAAALLLL!!! HOFMANN! IT STANDS! Hofmann's second gets Gladbach level! He races through and again beats Neuer with ease, and the subsequent flag is shown to be incorrect. 2-2!
43'
Both sides are being frustrated when it comes to the final pass. Lewandowski should slip Davies in but cannot, then Hofmann is caught offside. There have been few chances besides the goals, yet we have had three!
40'
Since building a rare first-half lead, Bayern have struggled to maintain control of the match. Gladbach are getting opportunities to break more often than Flick would like.
39'
Gladbach should do so much better! Neuhaus spreads the ball to Stindl, whose cross is underhit but still reaches Hofmann in the box. Neuer is committed, yet the goalscorer will not shoot from a tight angle and attempts to find Lainer. His pass is poor and Bayern clear.
38'
Sommer saves! Sane shoots low and hard from 25 yards, although this looks a routine stop for Sommer. He instead pushes the ball wide for a corner. Gladbach deal with it, though.
35'
J. Hofmann has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach! Assist by L. Stindl.
GOOAAALLLL!!! HOFMANN! Gladbach are back in this at 2-1! It is a lovely goal, with Bayern this time conceding possession inside their own half. Stindl sends through Hofmann to shoot low past Neuer.
A gorgeous Stindl pass seeks out Hofmann. Embolo is also in close attendance but may be offside and wisely leaves the ball for his team-mate to shape in a cool finish.
30'
Handball controversy is the name of the game in this first half! Sane controls with his arm as he runs clear and shoots, but the play is called back for offside. A replay suggests he is clearly onside, although the handball, while not indicated by the official, is blatant.
29'
Easy pickings for Neuer. A right-wing corner lands on the head of Ginter, but he nods straight at the goalkeeper.
28'
Gladbach are not happy as Pavard blocks a cross with his elbow and no penalty is awarded. Unlike with the Bayern penalty, however, the defender's arm is tucked in close to his side. The referee is not interested.
26'
L. Goretzka has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by L. Sané.
Sane tees up Goretzka on the edge of the box, but is the goalscorer himself who wins possession on halfway and gets Bayern on the attack.
GOOAAALLLL!!! GORETZKA MAKES IT TWO! The midfielder lashes beyond Sommer from 20 yards. It is a powerful finish, but the ball appears to fizz just past Sommer, who does not react quick enough. 2-0 Bayern!
24'
Lewandowski is not stopping there! The forward gets to a cross from the right but sends a looping header a long way over the top.
23'
The opener was Lewandowski's 20th goal in 15 Bundesliga matches this season. Only Gerd Muller (in 1968-69) has reached that mark in fewer matches.
22'
Gladbach are going to have to come out of their shell now. Lainer swings over a cross from the right and Sule does well to get a touch with his thigh to knock the ball back to Neuer.
20'
Penalty goal scored by R. Lewandowski for Bayern Munich!
GOOAAALLLL!!! LEWANDOWSKI! The Bayern striker never looks like missing! There is a little skip in the run-up and Sommer goes the wrong way as Lewandowski fires inside the left-hand post for 1-0.
16'
We are still waiting on a first opening, but Gladbach have come back into the game slightly. Bayern have bossed the possession but are facing as many problems as their opponents.
14'
Gladbach are going to have to make the most of their opportunities on the counter! Alaba's slip gifts the ball to Zakaria, but he delays a pass to Embolo and instead finds Stindl, who in turn makes the wrong call and gives possession back to Bayern.
12'
Good work from both goalkeepers. Sommer plucks a potentially tricky Kimmich cross from the air, then sets Gladbach away on the attack. Embolo looks for a run in behind, only for Neuer to dart off his line and nod to safety before the offside flag goes up.
10'
To give Gladbach their due, they have not yet allowed Bayern to create an opportunity. Costa is closed out on the left and Gladbach break, although their own move also comes to nothing.
7'
This game has certainly settled into a pattern. Gladbach do not have possession but are trying to push Bayern back after a couple of nervy early moments when the champions got forward down the right.
5'
It is all Bayern so far. Flick's men are happy to keep possession in their own half for now, however.
3'
The visitors quickly have Gladbach penned in, with Kramer twice ceding possession when given the chance to clear. Bayern cannot forge an opening on the edge of the box, though.
2'
Bayern should not be short of motivation. With Leipzig playing Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, victory would allow the champions to increase their advantage over at least one title rival this weekend.

KICK-OFF: Gladbach gets us under way!
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of Borussia Monchengladbach versus Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga!
This big fixture gets the weekend started in Germany, with defending champions Bayern looking to increase their two-point advantage over RB Leipzig at the top of the table. Hansi Flick's side have won their past three matches despite trailing in each of them, rallying from 2-0 down at half-time to beat Mainz last time out.
Opponents Gladbach have joined Bayern in the last 16 of the Champions League but are down in seventh in the domestic league, four points off the pace set by the top four. Victory over Arminia Bielefeld last Saturday ended a four-match winless run in the Bundesliga.
Let's get the team news from Borussia-Park...
Bayern (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Benjamin Pavard, Niklas Sule, David Alaba, Alphonso Davies; Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich; Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller, Douglas Costa; Robert Lewandowski.
Subs: Tobias Sippel, Michael Lang, Patrick Herrmann, Hannes Wolf, Jordan Beyer, Ibrahima Traore, Oscar Wendt, Laszlo Benes, Tony Jantschke.
Gladbach (3-5-2): Yann Sommer; Matthias Ginter, Denis Zakaria, Nico Elvedi; Stefan Lainer, Christoph Kramer, Jonas Hofmann, Florian Neuhaus, Ramy Bensebaini; Lars Stindl, Breel Embolo.
Subs: Alexander Nubel, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Jerome Boateng, Bouna Sarr, Lucas Hernandez, Marc Roca, Corentin Tolisso, Kingsley Coman, Jamal Musiala.
Rather than threaten to pull clear of Leipzig ahead of their meeting with Dortmund, Bayern have opened the door to the chasing pack. Leipzig will top the table if they can beat BVB on Saturday. Gladbach stay seventh but are now just a point behind fourth-placed Dortmund.
That's all from this gripping Gladbach triumph. Thanks for joining us and, until next time, goodbye!
