Bayern didn’t get 2022 off to the best of starts as they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach in their first game back after the Christmas break. Despite the loss they remain top of the Bundesliga table, six points ahead of Dortmund in second.
Meanwhile Cologne made it three wins on the bounce, as they beat Hertha Berlin 3-1 last weekend to move up to sixth in the table.
